We usually stay at the EPIC bc we love the restaurant in the hotel called Zuma. Not the cheapest of hotels, but you can usually get a bit of a deal on Priceline, etc.. Great rooms.

This year we are staying at the W in SoBe on points.

Also stayed at the Viceroy a few times. Also, an amazing hotel. The pools and spa are incredible.

Good luck

When we travel we usually stay at a 4-5 star hotel. They are a bit pricier but you get what you pay for. Some of the reviews on the cheaper ones are scary! How can you sleep when you are not comfortable? The RPS count would probably be too high!:eek::eek:

I would post this on the Florida Ports Of Call Board.

With that said, this is a list of hotels near the port.

I've given you a wide choice not knowing how much you want to pay.

For one night I would recommend:

Intercontinental

Hampton Inn (includes a nice breakfast)

Marriott Marquis

Holiday inn Bayside

Hyatt

Epic

There are other choices but this is a good list of hotels to consider.

There is a Holiday Inn right across from Bayside Marketplace....

CB...

This year, we stayed at this place.

I do not recommend this hotel. We stayed there because of the

Bayside Marketplace across the street. The location is excellent.

But, the price you pay for a "Holiday Inn" room is way beyond disgusting.

Each day, they never came around to clean the room until 4:30 - 5 PM. Complaining down at the front desk just went on deaf ears.

They clean staying over guest rooms last, and, a very surly attitude for $350.00 per night this Holiday Inn is disgusting...plus, the rooms are like they were back in the 70's.

Believe me, I have stayed in alot of Holiday Inns over the years.

This place gets an "F" from us.

Can anyone suggest a good hotel near Port of Miami, not too expensive

Thank's

J.

With no date and no idea of what you think is "expensive", no one here can offer specific help. Head over to the florida departure board. There are experts and residents there that can steer you in the direction you need.

A hotel in June will be half or less than what a winter room will cost. Day of week will matter too.

We stayed there last november. We only stayed for 1 night, so didn't have to deal with room cleaning.

I would say that it was an "ok" hotel...not 'disgusting', but not 5 star either.

We used orphan points in the holiday inn program to book and were very pleased with free stay. Great location.

Have a great cruise.

On our last cruise out of Miami in early November 2015 we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental.

Absolutely fantastic hotel and great location. American Express had a special of 3 nights for the price of 2.

Plan on the same hotel the next time we sail from Miami

Bob and Terry, certainly a great hotel but I didn't mention that one nor the Four Seasons which I actually prefer because the original poster is looking for something not too expensive. Yes, November you can sometimes get good deals but not the case December thru April.
