Coffee at Falmouth

This is just an FYI. I got burned and I don't want anyone else to get burned. We took a private tour in Jamaica. It was very informative and we got to see some really local things. We thought it would be cheaper to get coffee there than it would be at port. Well, I thought I was getting a good deal because I wheeled and dealed with the guy at a local store and got a 1 pound bag of 100% blue mountain coffee for $25 a bag and I got a free 1/2 pound bag. But then there was 16.5% tax. Well, at the port they had the same bag for $22 and no tax. So needless to say I was not a happy camper. And then there was no one pestering like they do in the city. You live and learn.

We took a cab to the local supermarket just a little way from the cruise pier. We got 1 lb bags of whole bean JBM 100% for $12.00 each. We filled a suitcase! It was a great year back home!
