Picture-A-Week 2014 - Week 35

Pictures taken between Monday, August 25 and Sunday, August 31.

Last week we noticed a gourd plant growing. This week it has started to produce flowers. Doubt if any flowers will produce a gourd this late in the season.

at first it looked like there were 3 balloons going up (the 4th blends in!)

but then we could see the 4th

but wait, there is a 5th balloon

and even a 6th!

and they all went up

7 balloons went up today from that spot across the canyon from us!

For a second time this year we have abandoned taditional birthday cakes for a non-traditional candle holder.

I guess it's only non-traditional until you make it a tradition.
