St. Maarten with Kids....

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to ask one or two questions about ST. Maarten/St. Martin. We have two kids, 14, and 11. I am a real believer in culture for myself and kids and am always looking for the out of the ordinary things to do with my kids/wife on the island. Beaches are nice, but a beach is a beach, unless there is really something spectacular.

I am merely trying to find out some of the best things to do with kids that provide culture, a real experience of the island, etc. Is there anything that is "spectacular" or an absolute must do/see in St. Thomas?

I really appreciate your help!!

I see nobody's answered you, so I'll make a suggestion that we wanted to do when we were last there, but couldn't get enough people interested to meet the minimum. Your family will meet the minimum of 4 persons.

There's a company that offers a 1/2 day art gallery tour where you travel by air-conditioned van to various artists studios/homes and get to meet them. I think you meet a minimum of 4 artists, and end the tour with a glass of wine.

I'll have to think of the name of the company. When I find the name of it, I'l post.

This sounds interesting. Is it on St. Martin? Since the OP Mentioned St. Thomas I thought that I should ask.
