Metrorail

I have used the Metrorail several times on different routes and find it very efficient and there is always security around the stations. It runs on time and there are monitors on the platform to let you know when the the next train GREEN or ORANGE is due. Mainly, I use the FLL airport and take the TRI-RAIL and then transfer to the Metrorail.

If you're used to public transit, you shouldn't have any problem with MDT. There are ticket machines at the MIA station entrance, make sure you have small bills.

Daytime is pretty safe. Metromover is not the same as Metrorail- it's a free system downtown and doesn't have access control.

The port bus is a M-F rush-hour service. I walk to the cruise terminal from the Metromover, because it happens to work out equivalent to my normal daily exercise routine.
