Leaving Nov 30th on the Breakaway. I'm planning on parking at the Port.

I would like to get on the Ship early as I hope to get a Vibe Pass.

Any suggestions about what is a good time to get parked then board ship.

I'm thinking leaving Maryland about 7:00 and arriving at port about 10:30.

What's the process once I get to port.

I'm also on that sailing. Parking at the pier and just about any other

Parking garages in Manhattan is way too expensive. I'm taking the

Train in and a cab from Grand Central. I can't see paying over $400

To park a car..

Parking at the pier is not "over $400". It's $40 per night with a maximum of $400 for up to 30 nights. Parking for your 7 night cruise will cost $280. Parking at a nearby garage, Park Right, will cost $28 per night if reserved in advance...$196 for a 7 night cruise.

If you are set on a Vibe pass, I would be in the security line at 9:30am to get the lowest possible boarding number possible. Two weeks ago, there were about 100 on line waiting for the security screening to open at 9:30. By 10:30am, I think you'd have a boarding # that would put you out of the running for a Vibe pass.

I have never been to the Manhattan Port.

If I get to Port at 9:30 what's the procedure after arrival.

I concerned about waiting time to board ship.

Is there places to seat or is it standing and waiting.

Any idea how long I'll be waiting.

Thanks

After arrival you proceed to check in. Have your edocs and a pen in hand. You will be checked in and given a boarding number and key card. There are lots of chairs to sit as well as a refreshment counter where you can purchase water, coffee, etc. there's a hot dog cart outside.

Hi come over to our roll call

I think I'm going to pass on this one. I have a bunch of friends going and I think it's too late to get to know people on the roll call.

Thanks for the invite anyways.

  • 2 weeks later...

From what I can tell it appears that the App allows one to be able to keep up to date on whats happening onboard your ship. However I noticed that once I downloaded it (a few minutes ago) it had a "messenger" and "phone" icon. Does anyone know if that allows you to message someone on board? and/or in the USA? Ditto for calling someone also (onboard/USA).

T- 12 days and 10 hrs and 2 mins!

P.S I don"t know how to set up my"countdown" . I would appreciate any help on that!!:o
