Is Caribe deck the best balcony

i have had an upgrade offer from Princess for a midship Caribe deck balcony, is this the best choice or I could go to Bahamas for slightly less money.

I assume this pertains to a Grand Class Ship and that "Bahamas" was an auto correct for "Baha". If so...

The decision depends on your wants and needs. The two cabins will be identical except for the balcony which will be much, much larger on Caribe with both a covered portion and an open sky portion. If balconies are an important feature for you, then I would pay extra for the added space. But if a balcony is something you just walk out onto once in a while, save your money.

We love the Caribe balcony. Great location mid-ship.

I always try to book Caribe balconies. Love the fact that they are half covered for privacy and weather.

The other deck is actually Baja ;)

Another vote for the Caribe balconies - very spacious.

Mid-ship Caribe is best location on the ship IMO. We have tried all over. Lido is pretty cool because you are close to a lot of stuff. But if you value balcony, Caribe is best. We have Caribe balcony mid-forward for 8 day eastern Caribbean on Crown coming up in March. 3 at sea days and I can't wait to camp out on balcony with a book and watch the flying fish come off the bow wave. It's going to be great!

Excellent choice if you want a balcony rather than an inside or oceanview, one of which I assume you had if you were originally booked on the Plaza deck.

We had a window on plaza deck

Loved our balcony on Caribe. Nice and spacious. Great for our two weeks around Cape Horn.

Slightly aft of midship on Caribe is, IMO, THE BEST cabin location on the Grand Class ships! Congrats!

Caribe balconies, for sure. They sell out fast.

If having a rather large balcony is important to you, Caribe would certainly be an excellent choice.

Then again, if you only need a smaller balcony area (which is enough for two straight chairs/small table), another deck that saves you money is something to consider. ;)

Somehow we lucked out on our very first cruise and ended up with a Caribe balcony. Yesterday we returned from the 15-day Hawaiian cruise on the Star where we original booked an inside cabin for the first time. But when we received the email from Princess for a balcony upsell and found a Caribe balcony room available, we abandoned the inside cabin!! Love, love, love the Caribe balcony (as far aft as possible preferably). You definitely made the right decision...enjoy!
