Is September too cold for a Baltic cruise?

We usually cruise in September or May when the weather is nice and the kids are still in school. I'm looking at the Baltic cruises and I seem to remember someone's trip report who went in late August and said it was getting chilly then. May is too close to an anniversary cruise I'm doing in March. Any thoughts?

Obviously, you can't rely on the weather, but we did a Baltic cruise In mid September. We had hot, sunny weather in every port. In fact, in Tallin it was about 30c, a bit too hot for sightseeing.

I would imagine June is a good time as the days will be long.

I've been in the Baltic ports for a September trip (land based, not cruise) without issue. The answer is "it depends", but it's not going to be snowing or anything.
