Celebrity ships are NOT dead at 11. All depends on where you are at and time of year.

Sailing the Baltic, with major ports almost every day (like St. Petersburg)

You will find the ship quiet but not dead at 11.

Conversely, in the Caribbean, on sea days, you'll find the place hopping at midnight and long after.

So do you think Celebrity Silhouette, Feb. 12 Caribbean cruise (w/ 3 port stops and 3 sea days) will be alive at night? One of our port stops doesn't get in until 3 PM too.

Can speak from experience. We sail to the Caribbean every January and have done so for the past six years. Sea days the ship is rocking and rolling from early in the morning to well into the wee hours. The disco and the casino being the two hot spots.

On port days the place is still hopping at night but the casino/disco may have a few less people.

The fact that the casino is smoke free adds to its pleasure.

You will find at least one venue buzzing that late, especially on the night before a sea day. It might be a DJ or the piano bar, and the rest of the ship might be quiet, but at least one spot will draw a crowd.

That's good. And the casino bar is open until the wee hours I am assuming?

But we also want to make sure that at night we aren't bored. Give us some booze, a couple of good bands and we are good to go.

Do not miss the Silent Disco on Celebrity at the Martini Bar. Usually starts at 10pm and runs til about midnight or later if there is interest.

Three channels to select on your headset - oldies, disco, contemporary. You will boogie on the dance floor with people in age from 20 to 80. This is one fun activity!

The last 2 Novembers when we were on the Equinox the was a piano player in the Ensemble Lounge outside of Michaels. 2 yrs ago Ray Brown was beltin out his smooth jazz all cruise.

And the little lady in his back up trio could really tickle the ivory.

Hi Lois!

Here is the latest thread about it, http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2411126&highlight=Silent+Disco

It has been going on for a couple of years, but only 1 or 2 times a sailing, and seems to be after 10:00 pm.
