Soufriere help please

I am so confused about Soufriere. I have seen pics that showed a desolate area with small boiling pools, an isthmus where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, an a description of it being a small fishing village. I am so confused. What is Soufriere all about?

Your description sounds about right. They also have Bubble Beach there, though we didn't go to it, and Jungle Bay Resort is re-building there (they were previously on the SE part of the island in Petite Savanne, but Hurricane Erika destroyed the cottages last year), and are scheduled to re-open in late 2017/early 2018.

It's not clear to me where the road ends. About how far of a walk is it to get to the area with the boiling pools? Is there an overlook that you drive to?
