Nieuw Amsterdam Cruise Director

Hello! Looking forward to our cruise on the April 3rd sailing- yippee! Wondering who the cruise director will be on our sailing....anyone have any info on this? (And if so, how is s/he?)

Back in January, from the 3rd through the 10th, it was CD Mario. He was one of the best, both entertaining and always seen around.

Just got off the NA and it is Mario

Mario was the CD on the Transatlantic we were on in Oct.-Nov...........Agree completely that he was a really good CD and his friendliness and energy were amazing. His performance during the "Biggest Liar" will always be memorable but even better at Team Trivia.

HEY MARIO..................you never delivered those Caribbean tags you promised us!!! WAIT until we see you again.

Presume he is off contract for a few months and will show up again and hopefully on the new Konigsdam we would like to try in Fall-Winter

Mario got off the NA when she arrived this weekend.

He told our fellow passengers that he would be on the Westerdam in April.

Hopefully Copper sees this question or someone else in the know

We are just off the NA - as is Mario. Our friends are still on the NA and as they have a sea day and our friend has unlimited internet it was easy to send an e asking the question about the new CD - his name is Kevin Jordan.

Back tracking on the above post - I just received another e from my on board friend - he gave me the wrong name - he only knows his first name - Ross!

Just got the Cruise Log for the second week ending Feb 7th.

The current Cruise Director is Ross McTaggart.

Did you ever see the CD this past week?

Only at the Show Room announcing. The entertainment. DW saw him eating in the Lido.

Definitely not out and about like our favourite retiring CD.

We just got off NA yesterday and the CD was Ross. Seemed like a nice enough guy but didn't see him out and about other than on the stage at the Mainstage, however he was at the gangway saying goodbye as we disembarked.

Mario is on the Westerdam until April. He then will be on the Eurodam for the Med. season Kevin Jordan was the comedian for the week. Ross McTaggart took over from Mario.
