Special Diets on the Celebration

Recommended Posts

Just got back from the Pearls of the Aegean on Celebration.

Had a great time only complaint we had was we only had the one week :(

Did not know what to expect with hubbies diet as he has to have gluten free but we were amazed. When we arrived in our cabin there was a letter asking him to call in and see the Maitre D' sometime that day. This we did and he was so helpful. We ate in the Meridian in the evening and were allocated a special waiter Jing who knew what he was doing and he looked after us all week. Every meal he was brought a gluten free menu which was very nearly the same as the rest of us with just a few things missing. Most of the food they adapted for him.

At lunch we ate in the Lido and the Matre D' introduced him to the Head Waiter so he could tell him what was suitable for him.

One afternoon on the lido deck the Maitre D' even cooked him a special stir fry. Nothing was too much trouble. They even provided him with gluten free bread.

So anyone with any special diets do not hesitate to go on this ship you will be well catered for. He has never eaten and been looked after so good. Hope he now doesn't expect this at home:(

Great news. Some people wonder why we are loyal to Thomson, its because of reasons like this. The staff go out of the way to help and make your holiday special.

We got hooked on our first Thomson cruise in 2006 and cannot imagine going anywhere else now.

I haven't booked yet for this summer but am really looking forward to cruising again.

Glad you and your husband enjoyed it:)
