Room Card Programming

Is it possible to have a room card programmed to open two cabins?

We are planning on travelling as a family but in two twin share cabins.

Can the cabin cards be made so that they can open both cabins?

if you see them at reception they should help you out

They will probably give you an extra card for the extra room. They can't make one card for both rooms because the room card is also your on board charge card.

The room card is set to one account only

If you need to get

Into another cabin of yours they can give you an additional room key only for the second room

Yep - forgot about that - we had extra cards as well - and we managed to get our cards "magnetized or demagnetized" - whichever - and spent the first couple of days up and down to Guest relations, replacing 8 cards a time - until we got it right :o no phones, computers, ipads, camera's within cooee of your cards - especially if your are at the furthest end from the lifts - and on the upper decks - long walk back when you find your card doesn't work - no need to join the gym :p

Also the plastic card holders that you see some wearing create enough static discharge to demagnetise the card as you take the card out of the sleeve. Again, personal experience. After 5 cards we were given the extra room key card that just has the single function of opening your door.

I thought by putting the card onto a lanyard I could avoid the camera etc in my pocket but in the end the best place was my shirt pocket as every other place the card would get affected after a few days (forgetting about the card mishaps).:D
