Rare MMDown Under Posted July 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2016 Has anyone here been to Busselton / Margaret River ?? before, if so has any got any ideas on what to do here?? (We will be there 9th November 2016.) We are stopping at Busselton/Margaret River on our cruise on the Emerald Princess. Any tips / ideas are very welcome :) Whilst I haven't visited on a cruise, I have stayed in and toured this beautiful region, which is famous for its food and wineries. Might be a good place to hire a car for the day, if you don't want to go on a tour. http://www.margaretriver.com/

GradUT Posted October 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2016 I've been to the Margaret River area, but not on a cruise. That area is known for wineries and caves. We were there several days and the thing I most enjoyed was the Canoe, Cave and Bushtucker tour we did. Here's a link to their website: http://bushtuckertours.com/tours/cave-canoe-tour/
GUT2407 Posted October 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2016 If you don't want the trip to Margaret ariver the observatory at the end of the Jetty (the train ride out is itself nice) is pretty good, the museum at the old butter factory is also worth a visit (they had a free shuttle around the sites when we were there) if you want to do the observatory try and get in early long lines develop pretty quick.
