manchester lass Posted June 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2016 We arrive in Brisbane on the 12th November on the Celebrity Solstice. We dock at the F1 grain terminal. Can anyone tell me if they have shuttle buses to the city? Is it Celebrity that organises them or someone else. Thanks
Rare Solent Richard Posted July 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2016 We arrive in Brisbane on the 12th November on the Celebrity Solstice. We dock at the F1 grain terminal. Can anyone tell me if they have shuttle buses to the city? Is it Celebrity that organises them or someone else. Thanks Good morning manchester Lass. I just stumbled on your question and thought I may offer some advice even though I did not visit on a Celebrity ship. The Grain Terminal, where all major cruise ships berth, is quite some distance from Brisbane itself... Here is a link which will explain... https://www.portbris.com.au/PortBris/media/General-Files/Shipping%20Operations/Information-for-Cruise-Ship-Passengers-and-Visitors-to-the-Port-of-Brisbane-Multi_2.pdf and the relevant text for your purpose... The Terminal is approximately 25km drive from the Brisbane CBD, and 23km from the Brisbane Airport. There is no regular public transport available from the Multi‐user Terminal. The following transport options are available for cruise passengers: ‐ Taxis ‐ available at the terminal taxi rank. ‐ Shuttle buses arranged by the Shipping Agent, to take passengers to and from the city at regular intervals. Buses generally operate continuously throughout the day until all passengers are back on board ready for departure. So you will find that Celebrity will be organising shuttle buses into the city just as Cunard do. Hope that helps. Richard
Rare Solent Richard Posted July 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2016 Now, as if by magic, I can offer you an insight into what you will find in Brisbane. Here is a link to my cruise Blog on which I have done a review of Brisbane... https://solentrichardscruiseblog.com/2016/01/08/one-way-to-do-brisbane/ It is a fabulous vibrant city to visit and i would suggest you make the most of it by getting out as early as you can. Again, I hope this helps.
