Plaza Beach Resort

We were at the Plaza Beach Resort last February for the day. Woodwind was filled up already and this looked like the 2nd best Snorkeling opportunity. We took a taxi from the cruise port but could have easily walked but we were concerned with not finding it. We should not have worried. I would say it was 20 minute walk to the right of the port.

We got there very early and nobody was at the beach area. We felt we needed to check in with someone before we got into the water. We should not have bothered. The office was quite some way from the beach and when we got there, the service was lacking and they just told us to go back and wait. We put our stuff on a Bali bed and eventually someone showed up. We paid a very negligible amount for the "day pass". There was no extra charge for the Bali bed. Again, the service was nonexistent. We could have just snorkeled all day without paying anyone, nobody paid us any attention.

We were towards the front of the beach where the rental shack was but next time we would definitely walk down farther where the restaurant is over the water. Snorkeling there was the best especially around the piers of the dock. We swam with a pair of huge French angelfish who basically followed us around. We did get stung by tiny jellyfish. But we persisted and I do not believe we were stung after going down by the restaurant. We loved snorkeling there!

The beach got quite busy as the day went on. We did get beer from the restaurant but did not eat. There were bathrooms available and outdoor showers to wash the salt off. There was a pool but not sure we would have been allowed to use it. Nobody paid us any attention so they probably would have just thought we were guests there.

Anything else I can answer?
