Carnival share credit

Does anybody know if you have to send proof of share ownership every time you sail ? Also, if so, do you have to do it after final acc is settled?

We have had to do it each time.

I think it is usually within 3 months of sailing. I do ours about 6 to 8 weeks out

Yes you need to provide proof of ownership of at least 100 CCL shares each time you submit a request for shareholder OBC. You do not need to make final payment before applying. We usually make our request 6-8 months or more in advance of our sailing. For instance, for an upcoming sailing in Sept 2017, we applied and our OBC was credited in Jan 2017.

Yes... that's the only way they know you are currently a shareholder (and didn't just buy and churn to reap infinite benefits)! Fortunately being a shareholder has paid off in more benefits than just onboard credits, particularly these last couple of years!

Last year I had 2 cruises within around 6 months of each other, and I did not have to submit another proof of CCL ownership for the 2nd cruise. (I asked if the proof for the 1st cruise would suffice, and they said yes to me.)

Our hundred shares of CCL stock has appreciated 102% since we purchased it six years ago-around $3500. We've never had trouble using it for credit- and of course I delighted that it now it's gone up enough that we could (almost, After long-term capital gains) purchase a cruise with the profits :-)
