Posting photos- size help

You can get a free picassa account from google. Upload your pictures there, then post a link back here. Your pictures will be embedded in the message, which is really nice. But you may want to limit the size of your picture as well since too big a photo may overwhelm your readers. Let me know if you need detailed information on how-to (get your picassa account first. :))

OK - have spent too much time on this already - I have uploaded a profile photo which shows correctly in my CP page, but it does not show up in the posts for some reason.. it is 4KB and 100x100 pixels.

anybody else have this problem??????

Speaking of photo sizes...there are some members who post photos

on the cruisecritic Photo Gallery at http://pictures.cruisecritic.com/

as tiny little postage-stamp-size things.

What's the point?

Surely if you're going to show off your better stuff

(not your run-of-the-mill junk)

shouldn't it be somewhere around 5x7 or 8x10?

I know there are no rules as to posting size and it is a Free World

but I just thought I'd bring up the subject, to see if I'm wrong again.

Maybe they chose US Mail instead of Email when they re-sized...?

I see that on the "User CP" page, it says that an avatar can be no larger than 80 x 80 pixels. Also, if you haven't already, note the radio button option on using avatars.

Thanks - I had not set up an avatar - I thought it used the "profile" picture.
