Vancouver airport shuttle service to cruise port

Trying to find out cost for shuttle service from Vancouver airport to cruise terminal? Is this the best way to get from plane to ship?:cool:

The most convenient option will be a taxi. Vancouver airport has a fixed rate system for fares .

Airport to pier is about $40 CDN ($30 USD) . Canadian cash or credit card is the best payment .

USD will a bad rate for conversion.

If you're trying to minimise cost, SkyTrain is cheapest ($9 each on weekdays, $7.75 on weekends, also senior/child discounts that knock another couple of bucks off). You need to be able to carry or roll your own bags around to use it, but the trains have very generous legroom and underseat storage so even typical cruise luggage of a large suitcase and carry-on or backpack is quite feasible.

Once you hit 4 people a cab is definitely the way to go - $35 to pier, so with tip $40 is what to budget for. If you have 6+ people, consider one limo instead of 2+ cabs - price is very similar. Either way you're looking at a very modest premium over SkyTrain for the convenience of door-to-door travel if you put bums on all or almost all seats of a cab or limo.

Shuttles basically all died when the Canada Line was built to the airport - the one remaining company offers a trip from airport hotels to pier for $15pp. They can drop you at the airport on the way back, but I don't think they actually pick up at the airport itself (there's a fee required to be allowed to do that, so some cabs also skip the airport medallion - but anyone can drop off whether or no they've paid the fee). Between just 2 departures daily and the hassle of getting to a hotel, I'd only consider a shuttle if I were a solo traveler who did not feel up to wheeling their own bag.

Cruiseline transfers are simply horrible value here, because the airport is close and has good transport links to the pier. Most charge US$24-29pp, which is basically the same price as a cab, so even a solo traveler doesn't get much value and 2+ people are frankly being ripped off.

There still is shuttle that takes you from the airport to the pier. You'll have to pre book and pay for .

Thanks for info. We decided to take bus from SeaTac Tuesday. We are returning a car rental there so seemed the easiest. Don't want to have a stressful boarding day. :cool:
