my son had just cancel d his cruise on the POA..and when he saw this
he was more than happy that he changed his honeymoon to land vacation in Tahiti.. this has got to be a big embarrasment to NCL..for so many unsanitary condtions to be cited at one time..a very gut wrenching report.. |

Kind of old news, that was last year. POA has done pretty good on recent inspections.

I think you may have been looking at a previous years report? The only 2 ships listed in the article are Club Med 2 and Celebrity Infinity.

I found this on another website. I was wrong in my other post. CDC does not inspect the POA since it doesn't fall within there jurisdiction.
*Please note that two ships—NCL America’s US-flagged Pride of Aloha and Pride of America are not listed because their itineraries are confined only to US waters. Therefore, their sanitary inspection falls under the jurisdiction of the US FDA Interstate Travel Program that looks at transportation vessels involved in interstate travel. The ships will be inspected by the FDA and the Hawaii Health Department. All other US-flag vessels with international itineraries— Spirit of Columbia, Spirit of Endeavour, Yorktown Clipper, Nantucket Clipper, Arabella, Sea Bird, Sea Lion, Grande Mariner, Niagra Prince, & Safari Spirit — are inspected by VPS.

The Pride of Aloha is not the Pride of America. Different ships and that was a score from more than a year ago.
