Default tours of galley/engine room?

I've heard on some cruises that you can tour the galley. Does SeaDream offer anything like this? I know for security reasons other tours are probably not offered, but I would think a quick tour of the engine room(s) or bridge might be interesting too...
Also, how in the heck do you all survive until your cruise?!!!? I'm going crazy with anticipation!

With some exceptions, the bridge is readily accessible. Coffee with the Captain is a regular event. I do believe galley tours can be arranged and we have always found the Head Chef to be very accomodating. As far as the engine spaces, not sure. Never hurts to ask but engine spaces, even on large ships, are hot, noisy, somewhat dangerous places with lots of things you should not put your hands on if you want them to remain attached to your body. Have fun. Only 33 days to go for us!

We have asked on several occasions for a tour of the galley and/or the engine room and have not been able to secure a tour of either. Actually I think these are the only times in 30 days of sailing that we have been told no

As Jim mentioned the bridge is open most of the time. If you are a weather geek (like I am) or an electronics geek (like DJ's DH) you will find the bridge quite interesting.

As for surviving until the cruise ... well we all have different coping mechanisms. Mine is planning for the next one

My one tour of the galley was on my first crossing several years ago and it has not been repeated on the two most recent crossings.

appreciate the advice above, but I have a job. That's why I need the vacation (and can afford SD!)
My hubby is a huge electronics geek, so I think he'd really enjoy the bridge. Thanks for the input

I believe that they stopped the galley and engine room tours a while ago due to insurance and security concerns.
