Like alpal1993, I plan to sail on Oasis with my dd. We don't care where it goes since the ship itself will be our destination.

We're thinking of taking the kids on it once the prices start coming down. It definitely looks like an experience!

I think that I'll pass. Athough the neighborhood idea is good, that's way to many passengers for my liking.

If I want to go to Central Park I'll get on the subway, not a cruise ship.

I think Oasis is an incredible technological achievement and everyone involved in the design, construction, and operation of her should be thrilled.

It's not her size that prevents me from sailing her, it's her passenger count. Over six thousand passengers and a couple thousand crew - far too many for my tastes.

I think the pictures of this ship are awesome. However with that many people on board how many people will be in your group for each excursion? Better book them early.

I find nothing appealing about this ship. It seems to have a lot of "glittery" things that sorta take away the relaxing, serenity of cruise. I very much like some activities on a ship, but this seems more like an amusement park than a cruise ship, to me.

No interest whatsoever. If I wanted a vacation in a gaudy, overcrowded mall-in-the-middle city-like hotel, I'd book one. And all those people - yikes!!!! Give me a small, more personal and intimate ship, with the old time cruise experience any time over a monstrosity like this.

I hope to see it someday but not to travel on it.

Not my cup of tea at all.

Arrow Just gotta

There is a "Pre-Inaugural" cruise for 4 days out of Ft Lauderdale that I would definitely be on, except, I am on another cruise those same days.

I just have to try her for myself because it is almost impossible to imagine.
I would not be going for a "cruise"

After all I have been to Disney World and Universal and this one FLOATS !

Default Not for me!

I just can't imagine embarking and disembarking. I mean, cruise terminals can only handle so many pax at a time! And the lines of people just to get off the ship? And the lines for taxis? How about tendering? 6,000 people heading to the FLL airport at once, not considering other ships in port, as well?? Just WAAAAY to many pax for me!

Paul
who's been spoiled by 208 pax on the Seabourn triplets...!

Royal Caribbean has just built a new terminal in Ft. Lauderdale. They're saying they will get you onboard in 15 minutes----curb to ship. We'll see if they can, but they do have *some* experience with large ships.

Oasis will never tender.

,Sorry Holland America fans,I think Oasis will do just fine without you.RCCL site has a separate site just for Oasis of the Seas, and it seems to be very busy.On facebook lots of Oasis fans as well.I am sure that they will be accomodating on tours as well.It might not be as crowded as you think.Only time will tell.
RCCL is building a sisiter Ship Allure of the Seas. They must know something as both ships will be sailing out of Port Everglades on identical itineraries. One leaves on Saturday the other Sunday with alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean Itineraries.
