opening up my cabin door--BEST feeling but sharing a hug with hubby
and both of us saying WE ARE HERE---PRICELESS

The moment the sail and sign card is handed over (a quick check to ensure spelling is correct) and I place my wallet in my bag never to be used again......until I need cash. Darned, if Im not on a cruise

I know I'm cruising when....first night at sea and I go out on the balcony to see nothing but darkness, some white water crashing around the boat and the "woosh" sound that it makes as we move towards our first destination. *aaaahhhh*

I know I'm cruising when I walk across the gangway and hear my card "bing" and I'm actually on the ship (drinking my complimentary glass of champagne if I'm on Celebrity). Then I'm cruising and everything magically disappears!

2013 can't get here soon enough - ALASKA! Can't wait!

I know I am officially on a cruise vacation once I start to walk up the Gangway. When I step foot on the ship for the first time and see the Atrium Lobby with all the light and colors. No matter how many cruises I have been on nothing ever beats that feeling. I LOVE CARNIVAL CRUISES

For me, it is the first time I hear the "ding-dong" of the public address system, and the Cruise Director says "Welcome aboard the beautiful......" then I KNOW the cruise has started!
