Buying liquer onboard ....for the cabin?

I just read a thread that has me confused. I have been cruising with Royal & Celebrity. Is it true you can not buy liquer from the store on the ship and take it back to your cabin? For a fee, of course.........................Yikes, I hope this is not the case. We have to have a bottle of Baileys in the cabin.

This is true. Any liquor purchases made from the ship's store are held and delivered to your cabin on the last night prior to debarkation.

I'm sure there are mini's of Baileys in the cabin bar, but he would need 5 of those little things a morning!
*WHAT* cabin bar? Not on Carnival, at least not a stocked one.

Found this from running a search on mini bar:

"All cabins on the Glory have a fridge. You can ask your cabin steward to remove any items in the mini bar if you need room to chill down your own drinks.

Gordon"

...............this gives me the idea that mini bar's are stocked...............?

I will be on the Pride

The only items I've seen "stocked" were soda pop and bottled water.

Grrr...I've got a balcony on the Valor next year and if there isn't any complimentary booze in the fridge I'm gonna send a rocket to UB expressing my displeasure

COMPLIMENTARY..............is not a word in Carnivals vocabulary! But I do expect a stocked mini bar, where you pay for the things you consume.

If its not stocked, I will ask that it be......:)
