Default Concierge Class Cabins on M Class Ships

I'm starting this new thread with, what I hope will be, a better title. Hopefully the more specific title will help get some replies to my questions.

Found a fantastic thread by PelicanLvr about M Class, CC cabins. It was so helpful and amazing, and we discovered that the cabin that we had booked and thought was in a good location actually wasn't ... so we promptly changed it ... thank you for this info.

We were happy to find out, when we called to change cabins, that one of the so-called "great" cabins, one of the triangle-shaped ones, was available for our cruise plus it was one that PelicanLvr had actually cruised in - cabin 8046 on the Constellation.

My DH, however, being the more cautious of us, had some questions.

Even though the balcony is larger, is there a problem with privacy? We see that the triangle-shape makes it so that it would seem that a couple of cabins (8048, 8050) could look right into our balcony (and vice versa!) while we were sitting out there. Is this a problem?

Also, how about the cabin itself. Does the larger balcony change the square footage of the cabin ... on the deck plan, it doesn't appear to, but the deck plan also didn't show us that our previous cabin was right across from a service access door either.

Does anyone have the square footage of this balcony?

How about any photos of this cabin/balcony or any like it on any of the other decks?

Thanks for any help.

Default Balcony

Hi,

If you look at this photo:

The third deck above the liftboats is Deck 8. Your stateroom (8046) and its' angled balcony is clearly visible.

Default CC Cabin

I am just off of the Constellation in CC cabin 9175. The cabin is larger than standard but the balcony is the same size as standard. The cabin next to ours, cabin 9173 is a standard cabin but its balcony is larger. Cabin 9173 has a chair between the bed and the window while 9175 has a sofa.

Cabin 9173 has the same configuration as your cabin 8046. I don't think that there are privacy issues. The glass dividers block the view except when someone is leaning on the railing next to the divider, meaning that it takes an effort to peek in. The first image if of cabin 9173's balcony when I leaned way out the railing, the remainder are on cabin 9175. It is OK - I wasn't peeking - we became friends with the couple in 9173.

We have stayed in the "triangle" balcony cabin. Love it! No problems with privacy unless you are at the railing. My next door neighbor used to say hello. I spent many afternoons out there reading and watching the ocean. I don't remember the cabin number, but we had a sofa with the larger balcony. At least on the M-class the CC are larger. On the new ships, no difference and I wouldn't pay the CC price for what they give you.

Thanks so much everyone for responses and photos ... we appreciate them.

We love seeing the photos as they really give you a much better idea of positioning and how things "really" look.

Looks like we're going to love this cabin/balcony!
