Default Wind Surf Excursions

Will be cruising with Windstar on the Wind Surf for first time in March (Barbados, St. Martin, St. Kitts, St. Bats, Pigeon Island). Any suggestions for good shore excursions? We enjoy snorkeling, beaches, adventure.

We did this trip on the Windsurf a couple of years ago. (or similar one) The Americas Cup sailboat racing is very fun in St Martin.

A private tour of Barbados is nice and there is a great restaurant called the Fishpot in Little Good Harbor http://www.littlegoodharbourbarbados...estaurant.html that we really enjoyed.

Beautiful beach (Flamands beach) on the north side of St Barts that you could rent a jeep to get to and then have lunch on the terrace of a small hotel called Isle De France. http://www.isle-de-france.com

Enjoy your trip!

Patty,
If we have lunch at Isle de France, can we use the pool and beach?

You can definitely use the beach. (We did.) We did not ask about the pool.

Thanks. Were you able to rent chairs and an umbrella? Last time we were on St. Barts, we spent the day at Eden Rock and had lunch at the Sand Bar. It was awesome and I'd happily return except that we might like to experience another spot.

I am not sure about that. We just brought towels and went in the water. We were not on that beach all that long (although it was beautiful!) We were touring the whole island in a jeep and that part was only maye 2-3 hours including lunch at the hotel, too.

Smile Eastern Mediterranean WIND SURF excursions??

Hello !

My mum and I have booked the Eastern Mediterranean Wind Surf cruise for the end of august. This route is Venice- Rome with stops in Croatia and Italy. We were planning on booking a few excursions, but being the adventurous, active mother-daughter pair we are, I wanted to ask this forums opinion on the following excursions, and if its better to just go out on our own (and if we do this, what are your recommendations for each port?)

The excursions we were considering were:
-Italy Boat tour to Positano
-Dubrovnik Riviera, islands by Yacht
-Dalmatian wine tasting in Korcula

If anybody has been on the eastern mediterranean wind surf cruise, or have any suggestions or thoughts on excursions at the Croatian/ Italian ports, PLEASE let me know! We are planning on booking the excursions soon, but I really don't want to spend so much extra $$ when we can make our own adventure. Your thoughts are very welcome, and thank you!

We are sailing on Wind Surf (Athens - Istanbul) this Friday...and really looking forward to it. I can't yet give advice on their specific excursions, but I will tell you this. You MUST do a boat tour to Positano. Seeing the Amalfi coast from a boat is wonderful. It's also expensive. Last year, we paid about $240 for a 3 hour private tour on a small (24') boat. Nice tour, but I thought it was pricey.

Also, I highly recommend Ristorante Bruno for your lunch in Positano. It's an unassuming little place located just up the road from Le Sirenuse. You don't go inside, but rather sit outside on the sidewalk with an amazing sea view. I had the linguine with clams, zucchini and parmigiano reggiano (prepared in aluminum foil) that was one of the top 10 pasta dishes of all time!

If I learn anything more about Wind Surf excursions, I'll post it here.
