We are on the Carnival Legend on Deck 5 "Upper Deck" Category 7A, on the Port Side balcony, with an obstructed view. If anyone has pictures please post them here. We are just curious how "obstructed" the view really is.........either way we don't care! lol IT'S A BALCONY, considering we are coming from a Riviera deck, Interior room without any window or light at all! So please post some pictures if you have any!

59 days and counting

You might want to put your cabin number into the "seach this forum" as there are tons of threads of pictures, all of them different. The 7As, the forward three are more obstructed than the ones more aft ... so each will be very different. Have you looked?? Are you between muster boats? etc. Look on the deck plans too.

Sorry, I dont have any of the threads book marked, just saying thats how I often find pics, is by putting in my cabin #... then looking fast to see if any of the threads have pictures that come up.

7A - I would pick one that is obstructed by a lifeboat and not a taller tender boat.

Obstructed by Lifeboat

The roof of the lifeboat is somewhat level with the balcony floor; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down.

· Port Side: 5168 5170 5172 5174 5176 5178 5180 5182 5184 5186 5188 5190 5224 5226 5228 5230 5232 5234 5236 5238

· Starboard: 5169 5171 5173 5175 5177 5179 5181 5183 5185 5187 5189 5191 5227 5229 5231 5233 5235 5237 5239 5245

Obstructed by Tender boat

The roof of the tender boat is somewhat level with the top of the balcony railing; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, the view is obstructed – if standing on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down.

· Port Side: 5142 5144 5146 5148 5150 5152 5154 5156 5158 5160 5162 5164 5166

· Starboard: 5143 5145 5147 5149 5151 5153 5155 5157 5159 5161 5163 5165 5167

I got that off of another post! If I'm reading it correctly we have a lifeboat hanging from our balcony railing I guess OMG! THIS IS FANTASTIC

I found this picture of cabin #5165 on the Carnival Freedom.

I have read that some of these "obstructed views" are just obstructed when you are sitting down; that if you are standing up, you can get in the water.

Sounds like you are sooo excited! When do you sail? ;)

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED!!! lol but I'm sure you can imagine it! 6-6-10

I sailed that same itinerary last year on the Carnival Valor and really loved those ports (well, we did have to skip Cozumel because of the Swine Flu but got Key West in it's place). In fact, the Legend was in port with us the same day in GC:

Make sure to check out the roll call board as well as the port of call boards (if you haven't done so already) :D

How do you get out of the water? Would you use a rope ladder or something similar?
