Glory Eastern 4/11/10

This was my husband's and I 5th cruise with Carnival. Our first 7day though. We LOVED it. Room # was 1003. It wasa handicapped room. I wasn't expecting the beds to be pushed together, but they were. Here are a few pics of the room.

I know that a lot of peeps have been asking for photos of these types of rooms...here is what I have.

Monday was Half Moon Cay. We were going to rent a cabana, but the weather wasn't TOO hot, so we rented some floating mats, found some chairs, and parked it for a while. This was a beautiful day. the water was a little cold at first, but it didn't take long to get used to. Sand like baby powder, ocean sooo blue. It was paradise. Here are a few pics.

I think this was also the day that we did the wine tasting. $10 a person. Nice experience. We were nice and buzzed at the end.

We went to the steakhouse on this day. Here are a few pics. He ordered the porterouse, and I the surf and turf. mm mm good. :) Lovely experience.

Wednesday was St. Thomas...we did a tour with Godfrey tours $30.00 pp...HIGHLY recommened. I LOVED this day. He took us on a wonderful tour of the town, and then we went to Magen's Bay. BEAUTIFUL. Here are pics. :)

Wednesday was San Juan. We took the free trolley to El Morro...My husband LOVES history...we had an AWESOME time.

Next day was Grand Turk...we did nothing. relaxed on the beach, had some Volcano nachos at Maragittaville, rented floating matts, and had some expensive drinks. The beach here is nice.

Saturday was a sea day...we found a large lounger on the Serenity deck...sorry I didn't take any pics of this area. This was a nice day too. Here are some random pics...

All in all...this was my BEST cruise yet, and I can't wait to do another 7 day. I'll have to do a 3 day in August or September to hold me over though! ;)

Oh yeah...I stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay the night before the cruise. I won this hotel on Priceline for $55. In case anyone is interested, here are some pics...

I was sad to see this cruise come to an end...It was the best.

Here are a few obserations. The aft area is adults only. Why is the pizza back there? Kids eat pizza, therefore making this area not "adults only". I never saw any kids misbehave...just an observation.

The hot tubs were nice and HOT. They were never too crowded either.

The cover on the aft pool is nice.

The comedy club is a must do!

The burrito bar would be a lot better if the meat was HOT. :)

Fish and chips were OK...the fish was a little "fishy" tasting to me, if you know what I mean. Not nasty, just maybe a little strong for my taste. The calamari was great though.

Mongolian grill was delish as always. Most of the times there were lines, but nothing too horrible.

My new favorite frozen drink is the Mango swirl...awesome.

Get your drinks from the artrium bar. (the bar by guest relations) The bartender was soo nice, and she made the drinks stronger and bigger than any other bars for the same price. I think she thought my husband was cute. ;) Long island ice teas were nice and potent. :D

You'll have a great time. I'm already having withdrawal symptoms. :)

One more thing. We went to the past guest reception. free drinks (champagne fur us) and hou dourves (sp) for 45 minutes. They had a live band there also. We had a good time.

We brought along a pint of Captain Morgan. It made it through in our checked bags just fine. We also walked on with 2 bottles of wine.

Now I cant wait to go. Our cruise is only 4 nights:( but I know we will have so much fun. One of my sisters has never cruised so it will be great to show her everything. I will certainly have to try one (maybe 2) of those drinks and I will think of you. :rolleyes:

I will post when we get back. Your pic's were wonderful and it looks like you had such a good time. My 2 sisters and I do a trip every year and this is what we chose for this year. I cant wait I love cruising. I only wish we were going for longer. ;)

Thanks for the review!! We will be sailing on her this Sunday! My friend will have the same exact cabin. We are also staying at the Marriott before the cruise and paid the exact same price through priceline. Super funny.
