Why do you eat meat?

Simply, if humans were supposed to eat just veggies and fruit, we wouldn't have canines and we wouldn't have a relatively short digestive system.
Plus, steak is too tasty to give up

cause there is nothing like a BLOOD RUNNING RARE STEAK and a baked potato. Potato does not taste good with salad and salad and veggies give me the runs. Meat binds up everything.

I eat meat but VERY little red meat. I attended an Agriculture based college and had the process of meat preparation shoved in my face. It didn't "cure" me of wanting to eat beef, my personal health goals did.

I dont eat meat but DH is a meat and potatoes guy , So I make him his meat and I eat tofu and veggies, just works for me, I never really liked meat, been vegetarian, sort of vegan...... for about 2 years now, never felt better. I do realize though that it isnt for everyone and I never push it on anyone that I am with

Why thank you I find that most of the time, I keep to myself about my views and it is the meat eaters who somehow feel threatened by my personal choices by drilling me about how I get my protein or about how I must feel so tired all the time. I don't constantly drill meat eaters about how they get their veggies or their fiber, so get off my case. I just live how I want to live and what I feel are the best health and moral choices. Everyone faces these decisions in life and can make their own personal.choices and I respect that even if I don't agree.

I eat meat because it makes my meal feel complete. But I love vegetarians because I usually get to grab the meat that they pass up.

Somewhere I read about some research the university folks were doing. Seems they discovered folks have a "suite" of different bacteria in their intestines which help with the digestion of what folks eat. Apparently, there are only four or five different suites folks can be born with and it doesn't change throughout life. Some folks can thrive as vegetarians and some folks do not thrive as vegetarians. It's all (apparently) about the bacteria you are born with. Fortunately, I was born with the type of bacteria which makes for tasty meals.

We also get our meats from non-medicated sources. We have friends with cows, we have friends with sheep, we have folks who bring us roosters they don't want. Chicken soup cures crowing. Guaranteed.

I know you're joking, but it doesn't make any sense. The reason there are so many cows farting and burping is because there are so many meat eaters. If people stopped eating meat, ranchers would stop breeding cows and the population would be reduced, resulting in less methane emissions.
