Default Nieuw Amsterdam laundry

Anyone know if you can do your own laundry on the ship? If so what the cost is.

Sorry, no DIY laundry on the Nieuw A. You can buy an unlimited laundry package, or by-the-bag, or by the piece. The prices on these vary with the itinerary, but for ballpark numbers the unlimited will be about $85, and the stuff-a-bag will be about $18.

We just got off the NA two weeks ago. Cattl331 is correct - no DIY onboard. We used unlimited laundry, which was $110 for a 12 day cruise. We thought it was well worth it for 12 days in the warm Med. sun.

Unlimited laundry is the way to go on any HAL cruise. Luggage filled with clean clothes upon returning home.

When you are on vacation, you don't want to spend time doing your own laundry. It is a deal that can't be beat.

All items sent to the ship's laundry come back cleaned and pressed - well maybe the smalls (i.e. socks) aren't pressed.

For the 110 for unlimited is that per cabin, or per passenger? Just curious :-)

You can call Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576 to get a price. It may go up by the time you get closer to your cruise.

Note that this is an ANCIENT thread and prices quoted above do not apply. Recently on the Eurodam we paid $30 for a bag. I think unlimited was $9/day.
