So glads to hear the good reviews! Did anyone do any dancing? Do they have a nice band for dancing or is it a DJ type disco?

1. Way too many smoking areas, too many passengers not following the smoking rules and not enough staff enforcing the rules. What especially bothered my wife was how smokers would congregate around the elevators.
We just came off RCI's Mariner OTS, our second on that ship, and we've decided to try something different in the future but we are not sure Celebrity is the answer if the above is true. It seemed smoking was permitted in many more places this trip on the MOTS and where it wasn't people smoked anyway with NO staff intervention that I ever witnessed or heard of. The Casino and various lounges were all very smoky. Is this the case on all Celebrity ships too?
We're longtime RCI cruisers and we'd like to give Celebrity a shot but if it's not for us we'll try the luxury lines. We can afford them. We're seeking a pleasant cruise experience among well mannered people respectful of their fellow passengers which is getting difficult to find anymore.
Will we be happy with Celebrity? Will we find a lot of children on 7 night cruises?
Bob and Betty.
Over 20 Caribbean cruises since 1980.
Will we find a lot of children on 7 night cruises?
We saw a decent amount on our cruise... and every once in a while we'd see them being led around by a cruise employee. They had them separated into groups by age, and several of the groups had "theme songs" that they'd sing while they were walking along. It was so cute and they all looked like they were having a blast. I didn't see too many teens on this cruise, but I know they had teen dances listed on our daily itinerary, nearly every night.
I was actually on the cruise the week before this one, but I wanted to put in a comment or two!
This cruise was great! We also had a Concierge Class cabin #1019!!! Which was in great shape, however, My powder broke, so whoever is in this cabin, I apologize if there's a stain next to the vanity area!
The seas were very choppy, I didn't get seasick, but I do feel like I got a touch of the flu right before we got off and stayed sick for a whole week afterwards! Bring your hand sanitizer!
Ours was the Eastern Caribbean, which I enjoyed a lot more than the Western Caribbean. We, too, had an invitation to the Captain's table, which we accepted and enjoyed so much! I kind of felt like royalty for an evening!!
The sushi was terrific, and since we had late seating, we would go get a bite to eat before dinner.
I was a little worried with the CDC report, but had nothing at all to worry about! They passed with flying colors a couple of weeks ago.
We were supposed to get a lot of rain, but lucky us, it was fantastic weather all week long! So don't believe those weather forecasts!
We didn't have enough people for the Cruise Critic party (only 16), so we made our own party. Which I missed.
The waffles were, by far, my favorite!
Now it's back to work I go! Enjoy your cruise! Tiffany, the hostess with the mostest, is the greatest, if you see her, please tell her Stefanie says hello!
