Default Looking for Key West tour from Miami

Can anyone recommend or suggest the best way to tour Key West (with luggage) for a day after disembarking from Epic in Miami.

Can see no such NCL excursion however even so the more options to choose from the better.

Key West is a haul from Miami and if you're only going for a day I'd not bother. There is a lot of great stuff to see/do in Key West but you'd need a whole lot more than a day. I'd spend at least two nights in KW. Even one would be tights and whole lot of driving for very little time to sight see.

I agree it's too far for one day. It's at least 3 1/2 hours drive depending on traffic. We are picking up a car and driving down and spending three nights after our cruise.

I live in Miami and can tell you its not worth it for one day. Its about 115 miles on only one road - Highway 1 -going to and from Key West and Miami. Yes, its extremely scenic BUT also rather dangerous due to one single lane and car accidents. Some car accidents can block the road for hours and hours so you can be stuck there for quite awhile. There used to be ferries and high speed catamarans going from Miami to Key West but those services are no longer in existence. Its best to go when you have time to enjoy and not in a rush!

Another thought. We were in Marco Island last year and they had a ferry to KW from Marco Island at that time. Still not worth it for a day trip but maybe that'd work better than driving on the one lane highway to KW?!

The cruise line has a tour to the Everglades. You could rent a car and drive to the beach. We plan on going to Key Biscayne , south of Miami. There is a state park with light house , beach and some nature. May be something you would like . Fairly close to Miami easily done in a day.

Hi boys-- hope everything is well with you both?

Haven't heard from you in while!!!!! I was just going through the photos from the Jade the other night and thinking what a lovely time we had.

Give our love & best wishes to our lovely Danie-- still think of him often and wonder how he (both of you) are doing??

Lots of love and best wishes Elaine Billy & Nancy

Maybe you could try Keys Shuttle to/from Miami airport.

If you just want to spend a few hours and hit 1 or 2 highlights you can take a tour day bus down and back. It is a very long drive as other posters stated. The DH and I are going down for a day pre-cruise. For us 4 hours is enough as we are just going to hop on and off the little trolley, pet the six-toed cats, and hoist one or two adult beverages.

Drive to Marco and take the ferry to Key West then the same route back to Miami? You're right, not all in one day!
