NCL January 2011 Anyone going? LGB
We are considering NCL (1st time on NCL) for January 1 or 2, 2011.
Doesnt anyone have any input regarding LBG and NCL Jewel vs Gem?

NCL is the pioneer for the gay community having nightly Friends of Dorothy gathers in usually a bar or lounge. I can tell you that the Norwegian Jewel's would be at 7PM each night at the Star Bar just across from Cagney's Steakhouse. Every time I've sailed on the ship it's been there and exactly that time.
 If you like vocal house music then the Jewel is for you. Spinnakers will be hopping on the January 2nd sailing with DJ Jean at the tables.  Can't speak for the Norwegian Gem as I've never sailed on that ship...

after much consideration, unfortunately EOTS won out.
CM- thank you for all your input and suggestions. But the pricing was right for the RCI and C&A amenities were worth the switch. Hopefully we will get to try the NCL line soon.
