Default Distance btwn. Port at Phillipsburg and Maho

Hello all -

I think I have a few more questions....

We are thinking....

Maho Beach - Sunset Bar for Lunch/Drinks
Shopping on Front Street (Jewelry and Belgium Chocolates)
Then back to boat....

How far is it from Maho to the pier ?

Is Courthouse a good place to stop at Front Street ?
Is it really the center of it all ?

What stores are best on Front Street ?
(we aren't into "beach shops")

What does RIMA's have ? Is it just touristy stuff ?

Is the water taxi from Front Street to the boat the easiest ?

How much should we plan to pay for taxi from pier to Maho ?

Thanks so much !

I've answered most of these in another thread, but I think this is what I missed there.

Cruise Facility to Maho is about 5 1/2 miles as the crow flys, but the problem is traffic and it can take from 20 to 40 minutes over there in non-rush morning traffic, or as much as 90 minutes to 2 hours on the return, depending.

Taxi should be $25 for two, or down to $8 pp in a group, each way.

The Court House is pretty much at the center of Front Street shopping, and is a taxi dispatch center.

Back to the ship is a ~20 minute walk, a $3 per person taxi ride, or a $4 Water Taxi ride. I'd highly recommend the Water Taxi, as it offers some great photo op's on the way back to your ship. Have your camera ready.

A succinct signature is a superb signature.
