Group of 14 in Progreso, where to go?

I love the idea of the double decker bus tour to start the day off, but we would love to just hang out at the beach. Where would you suggest we go? We have kids ranging in ages from 6-11. We will be there middle of March (our spring break), so I would rather go on down the beach away from the "bar scene." Thanks for your help!

le Saint Bonnet restaurant and the beach accros the Malecon. They will serve on the beach if you wish. The whole deep fried snapper can't be beat.

Agree with Sr Dawson; sit at the beach, keep an eye on the kids as they frolic in the sand and waves and have some fresh, fried fish. Keep in mind it is served with the head and tail still on. Yum!
