it shouldn't have to do with the reconfiguration, the only cats that are being moved around are the CC's being added and taking the place of the "old" cat 1a's, the 1A's will then becone the "old" 1b's, the 1B's will then be the "old" cat 1c, and the 1Cls are completely getting rid of, so the SS, 2B, and 2C's are not being moved around at all. And are probably being held by goups, revenue hasn't released all inventory, or they are actually sold out.

I doubt that X is going to completely get rid of the "old" 1C cabins. icon_eek.gif The cabins will still be there. Won't they just be changing the designation?

On our Infinity June, 2005 Alaska cruise all the former 1A, 1B, and 1C cabins are designated CC. When we booked we asked our TA for an aft 1B and there were none available. This was in the first few days that the Alaska itins were published. Then she found out that they were changing them to CC.

If you go to the Celeb website and put in the June 9th, 10 nighter from San Francisco and select "No Preference" all the categories available will come up--there will be 1 CC and no category 1's at all. Then if you change your cabin preference to "CC" it will tell you none are available. I went to a couple of online sites ( cruise411, icruise and some others) and either they showed them all as being closed or they gave you cabin numbers on the 7th, 8th and 9th decks available as CC. Check the deck plan and you will see that they are the former category 1's.

This will be interesting to see if it's being done fleetwide or if it's only being done on the Infinity icon_smile.gif
