Default reduced to lurking....

Spring is here and the inevitable has happened. I have dodged this issue for the last couple years but time and Mother Nature march on. I yearn to spend all my time with my CC pals. To tell Jack and his friends how much better we could do if we had his job. All good things must come to an end now I must...

...paint the #$@%& house!! (two story, brick lower, wood siding upper). So for the forseeable future you nice folks will have to run X without me .

BTW...got a nice call from Jack's office yesterday reference my letter I sent shortly after my last cruise...somebody apparently does read these things and does care. My letter was a positive one. If you would write to complain you should also write to compliment.

Dan, whenever I see a on your title, I always think something really bad has happened....e.g....the employees...
Please don't scare us like that ...when you take a break from painting you can ALWAYS pop in and say hello

Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!

Have fun with the painting Dan - We'll try to keep the boards going without you !

It is nice that Celebrity actually listens to comments from their customers!

Lois, surely you didn't expect this...

I'M PAINTING THE HOUSE

Duck...this is my wife's fault!! There must be a law??

I look at it this way...the house must be painted every eight years (apx). The next time it needs to be painted I should be retired!!

Dan - We also have a 2 story home and my DH decided to paint it himself last spring - I went and rented the really tall ladders and got the paint and misc. items. My DH climbed up the ladder to the top eve and painted one brush full of paint - came down and said - "call the painters - I'm done!" Needless to say the painters were there in 2 days and my house was finished within a week - and it looks good!!

The point in telling you this is - save the rental fee on the ladders and let the painters buy the paint at their discount and you will save an extra $200!! And that is $200 closer to another cruise!!

And more important, you might fall and break a leg. what would that do for your cruising enjoyment?

Hopsital bills vrs. cost of painters. I would go with the painters.

I wonder if I could set it up with X that they allow me to cruise indefinitly while I repaint one of the hideous M class ships. Say 2 hours of painting a day in exchange for a suite...anyone got Jack's phone number??
