I have a few questions about this hike:
1. Are the trails very narrow? 2. Are there a lot of drop offs? 3. How would you rate the grade of this hike? Easy, moderate, or difficult? Thank you in advance for your help. |

I did this hike with my husband and teenage sons. Basically, you take a service from the Circumvesuvia station at Herculeneum to the base of the trail. There is a company right at the left of the train station. They run a shuttle bus up to the trail head. The trail is wide, no drop offs, gravel paved. A lot of people and not very difficult.
Yes, it is up hill all the way, but not difficult.
