Bob didn't reply to my last post, so I guess he left before he was able to read it.

The weather is lovely this morning. It cleared up nicely for our golf outing yesterday. I didn't win for my golf, but we had a "going green" trivia contest and I won two prizes for the right answers

Today I have to bite the bullet and work on taxes. We always wait until the last minute.

Have had a great trip so far. Had a nice half day in Savannah yesterday and made it to Jacksonville in time to see Lois for a bit. Played golf today in JVille and then drove down the coast to Daytona and drove on the beach-was thrilled to do that!

Carol, we are planning on taking back roads to FLL tomorrow so won't drop by then (we don't think) but plan on seeing you on the 7th.

Trouble staying connected, so will say bye for now and try to post more tomorrow from FLL.

Howdy from the Rodeway Inn in FLL. Seems to be a great set up for cruising. Ate at their restaurant and had snapper-might be the best fish I ever had anywhere!

The weather in most of the north has really been unusual, and it seems we are having lots of natural disasters all around. There may be something to that Mayan calendar thing....At least we have our cruise before their calendar ends....

I was really exhausted yesterday. It was a wonderful beach day, but for the first time in my life I got caught in a rip tide, and I wasn't far from shore. I couldn't swim against the current to come in at all, but being pretty ocean exerienced, I went with the flow and just came in diagonally to the beach, but pretty far away from where I first went in. I'm not as strong as I was when I used to teach swimming, and I was really tired.

It is another perfect day today and I am going to play in a charity golf scramble to raise money for the Honor Flights. (sending the WWII Vets to DC to see their memorial)

Carol, wow, that sounds pretty scary! Very glad you're ok.

Saw a great performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado last night. Some outstanding performers and good voices as well. It also was very well localized (e.g., "the little list" song).

Then I slept pretty late today and finished the taxes -- e-filed federal, put state in an envelope to mail -- both are refunds.

And then snoozed much of the afternoon. Rainy day, which was great for napping. Watching basketball and knitting -- finishing up the baby blanket for my pain specialist.

Weather here has been wonderful and I went to the beach again today. Same beach, different ocean currents. It was actually pretty calm today, but colder than last week. It was 75 last week, and down to 72 today. I went in, but didn't stay in long. After three hours on the beach I drove back home and went to the pool for a nice swim in the 84 degree water'

Happy Palm Sunday!

Today is probably the best weather and beach conditions we had all year so far, but I was a good girl and went to Church to get my palm crosses to put in our cars and in our homes. (I am superstious about it keeping us safe for the coming year.) Of course on a gorgeous weekend day there is no way to get a parking spot by the beach after 12pm, so I didn't even try to go. Wise A$$ DS, who declined to go to Church this morning, called while I was eating lunch and told me what a great beach day I was missing....such a sweet kid

On the way home from Church I stopped off at Home Depot and took advantage of their appliance sale and bought a new stackable GE washer and dryer. The small kind that are attached and built to be put in a closet. My dryer part died yesterday, and since the unit was put in in 1996, I figured we just should go ahead and get a new one, and not bother trying to fix it. I really wanted a larger set, but no way could we find a place to install it here in the little golf villa.

I am wondering if every time the Triumph comes into port if the Federal Agents are going to arrest it on behalf of different people suing.

Yesterday I was busy all day. I went shopping for an Easter outfit in the morning (Sr. day is 15% off) and then drove straight to the beach from there.....If you want to see a great beach, check this web cam...

I stayed all afternoon at the beach, and then could hardly move when I got home, so I never put the computer on and watched DWTS from bed.

Today is supposed to set heat records and I am going to the Mets vs. Yankees game here in Port St. Lucie (winter home of the Mets). I believe our seats are in the shade, but if they aren't no way I will be able to stay the whole game.

Carol, we get off the ship about 8 and would be on the road by nine I think. Don't know how long it takes to get there. I wouldn't give up the beach to visit us . We'll give you a call and if you are free fine, if not, we'll see you next time.

Lois, it has been one of our best ever. Itinerary is wonderful. Ate at Tuscan last night-maybe the best meal ever on a ship.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter and Passover celebrations. The weather here has been perfect to celebrate any kind of holiday.

We did have a great visit with Phyl and Bob, who look terrific, and we enjoyed hearing all about their cruise. We did wish we all could sail together one day in the future.

Bob and Phyllis should be leaving Florida today. Kent and Kevin will be going north on Wed., and I will be on the northward drive on Friday. I hate saying goodbye to Florida, but it is time to go back and find out what is going on in Maryland. I think by now we have missed any chance of snow.
