We are on this ship this coming Sunday, June 12th, 2011.
We are on the Panorama deck in an extended balcony room/
We like to watch DVDs we bring along.
I would bring my player and some movies if I knew for sure whether there was inputs for it on the cabin TV.
Carnival customer service says NO, they don't have that capability.
But I am skeptical. Does anyone know for sure who has been on this or another "Spirit" class ship recently?
Thanks for your prompt response!

I was on the Pride in February and I don't believe the TVs had inputs on them.

We were on Pride a few weeks ago and didn't notice any TV inputs for DVD players.

I think all TV's have inputs(on back or front),,,you would need long cables as the TV's are on the wall. We dont watch much TV on our trips

Even if there were inputs, the problem becomes changing the input source on the tv. The remote does not have a "source" button.

I have a handy dandy portable dvd player, with a battery life of 8 hours (in theory). Since I travel by tour bus, this device of very handy...I can just slip it in me backpack. I took it on me cruise last year...no need to hook it up to anything...

And what did I take for viewing? Some Mythbusters, some Whose Line, some Time Team...

I have seen input jacks on the backs of TV's before. The trick is getting it to the input channel. I think you may be able to flip to it by scrolling to the channel.
