I think all you golfers are making up for all the rainy days we last last year and you did not play golf.

I betcha those courses a packed, today. Sunny and going into the 70's.

It's a fun game, even though I suck at it.

I whack the ball as hard as I can, walk up 6 feet....and hit it again.

played golf once, quit keeping score after I hit 100.

I spent the evening listening to Il Volo, haven't listened to Italian tenors in a long time. In case you don't know, they are 3 Italian teenagers, just a mite different than rap or country. I'm not too fond of rap or blue grass but like most other types of music.
We had a nice crowd at the dance today, they should have made money today.
It got up to 80 at our house, will be interesting to see if we tied or broke the record. It's going to be in the 70's till next Thurs. I am going to plant some tomato seeds tomorrow, have them soaking in water for a while.

It wasn't as bad as i figured , but then it is March and Wed. so some people do work LOL . The course was surprisingly in good shape for March , I have good holes and some bad ones , I usually play around that 100 mark sometimes a few strokes under sometimes a few over , just picking the game back up after few years off .

Good to hear that you had a good crowd at the dance Mike.

You got me nosey. So I scoped out that teenage singing trio you mention. That's pretty neat.

OK, who's going to be first?

First to mow their lawn, that is.

Already there are a few tufts of grass jumping up. And there's a few "perfect-lawn" people on our street. They've got to be getting antsy, if not shaky with anticipation.

One lady up the street is a fanatic. Even though she bags the grass clippings when she mows, she'll go out later to sweep any stray clippings off her curb.

One neat thing that I saw yesterday, with the sunshine and 70's, was the great number of motorcycles out and about. But it still boggles my mind that about 50% of them don't wear helmets.

Kids and adults putz around on Schwinn bicycles at 10 miles an hour with helmets, while some motorcyclists roar down the road at 60 MPH and don't wear one. Oh well.

What do you call a motorcyclist not wearing a helmet? An organ donor.

One of Randy's neighbor was out cutting his grass this past Saturday. I can see raking out the leaves from flower beds but getting out the mower.

Larry is preparred for either snow or grass cutting. Both snow blower and mower are in garage, and both are commericail size toys.

Windows are open and my nose is running, how I love Spring and Fall.

I'll have to cut the grass next week, it is starting to get a little tall. I will have to change the oil and sharpen the blade first. We are going to get crabgrass preventative tomorrow and I'll put it down tomorrow or Sat. The forsythia bushes are in full bloom so I hope I'm not too late. The ornamental pear and crab apple trees are ready to bloom. I may even till the garden next week.
I did get the tomato seeds planted. A friend of mine has tomato seedlings up already.
It tied the record high yesterday. It is going to be warm thru next week with a couple of days in the 80s. If it doesn't rain, I'll do a lot of lawn and garden work. I have finally learned how to pace myself.
Thanks for the link Dave, I've heard them sing that one before and I can listen to it a lot more.
K2, are your spinners dried yet? I have a nifty idea for you after you clean them.

Mike: Spinners are all nice and dry and waiting for me to clean them. Soapy water right? Refresh my memory on how to clean them....send me a e-mail so I can print it off!! Thanks Mike. Can't wait to find out what IDEA you have for them!!

We got spared from the Tornado's. Dundee and areas around Ann Arbor got hit hard. Lots of hail too. SAD.

It's good to see you getting organized for summer, Mike. You're better than I.

One driver for Meals On Wheels was telling me the other day that she was starting her indoor seed planting for tomatoes. She was born and raised on a farm and can't stand store-bought tomatoes. She believes that they are engineered to look perfect on grocery store shelves, but taste terrible.

Now you guys have me curious if the riding-mower's battery will fire up this year. It normally holds the charge over the winter. The two "Lawn-Boy" walk-behinds at least don't need oil changes. One of them is over 30 years old. But I bet that puppy still fires up within 3 pulls.

And this year, I'm going to do like I did last year. More reliance on "RoundUp" and less on the weed-eater.

I can pace myself, too.

We may have to charge the battery on the tractor. The commerical walk behind may need a new plug that it.

Off to get my sister and take her to see her housemate who is in hospital with pnemonia.

I don't have a green thumb either.

Our meat market sold t-shirts that said

"Friends Don't Let Friends Buy Meat at the Grocery Store"

I don't think I have bought meat at the grocery store in many years except for whole hams, some lunch meats or ground beef and now I will pay the few pennies more and get the ground beef at the meat market.

I never did that, maybe that's why my banana plants die over the winter.

Fay got some pretty good tomatoes this winter. I only eat the cherry tomatoes that I grow. They will be later than usual this year, no 4th of July tomatoes unless I can find a more mature tomato plant.
Glad the tornadoes missed you K2.
Have a good weekend.

Had to take my computer TOWER into the shop. After I installed that dang Norton Virus software everything went to H*LL. Did a uninstall and it was still all messed up.
The guy at the shop said...."YUP you have a virus girl". Hopefully, I'll get it back Sat afternoon. He told me Norton does that to a lot of computers.

Mike: I could plant onion sets here and with the temps staying in the 70's+ all next week I might even have some to pick in a few weeks. Ha Ha. Just crazy weather out there.
I still fear for the Cherry Blossoms and Apple Blossoms popping out and then we get a COLD SNAP like it's suppose to be and the farmers lose all their fruit. Let's hope not.

Later. Glad I have this little Netbook to work on.

My friends just called from Boyne City and told us we need to drive up. The weather is just as nice there. Like I have enough time to drive 4.5 hours one way to sit and read!! Ha Ha.....maybe later in the year.
