I would have been nice if you gave us some warning before you closed our thread!!!

If you would have posted the message about the closing and this new forum but kept the thread open for a few weeks, we could have posted on that thread a link to our new thread or had a chance to discuss what to call this new thread and make sure people knew where to find us!!

Hi There !

I can make any changes you like to this new forum. You can start a thread just to discuss what name you might like to use, if you would like. That is the beauty of having a whole forum dedicated to the group.

I did post a link in your old thread directing everyone to come here. I am sure word will get out and everyone will find their way. Once they do, if you do decide you would like the name of the forum changed please email us and we will take care of it.

Okay, I get it - kind of

Looks like they started a new forum under our name - Carnival Liberty April 18, 2009. and then they started a new thread - welcome to your new home - which is the thread I am writing in now In this forum we can start as many different threads as we want which will all be placed in "our" forum.

I will start a new thread under this Forum called "Liberty Family" and we can continue our chats under that. I would suggest that we all bookmark it/make it a favorite so that we can find it easily.

Looks like we will have to start our numbering all over and now it will for sure take us a long time to get to 10,000 . Too bad they couldn't just bring that whole thread over here.

Anyway, to get to the new thread I will start, if you scroll to the top of this page you will see where it shows "friends of cruise critic" then "Carnival Liberty April 18, 2009" and then "Welcome to your new home" - if you click on "Carnival Liberty April 18, 2009" it will bring you to the Forum and you will see the new thread I am about to start. Might be a good idea to book mark the link to "Carnival Liberty April 18, 2009" rather than the thread "Liberty Family" That way if people start new threads about a certain subject, you would see it.

I hope this makes sense and you all will find you way over to this new thread!!!!!

Me again... We here at CC love the fact that you have found a home with us and while it is just wonderful to see that the message count on your old thread is up over 10,000 ... I do want to point out that we will be "recycling" threads in this group forum just as we have been doing in the other main forums. If a single thread gets too long we will have to close the thread at that time and start a new thread.

The reason we gave your group their own forum is so that you can have a few smaller threads going for different subjects you are chatting about instead of one huge thread. They will all be organized in your own group forum and easier to find then if you had smaller threads over the main forums. Smaller threads won't slow us down as the large ones do so it keeps us from having to close them.

I just wanted to make your group aware. I didn't want you to try and get your message count up (in one thread) just to sadly see it closed again.
