I booked a Hawaii cruise this week. It's what i wanted for my BIG birthday this year. I'm really looking forward to it & it's nice not to have to wait to long to go.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Donna,

We have cruises out of Baltimore to the Caribbean so we could send you off or possibly join you.

It will be good. We have turkey, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, green bean casserole, sauerkraut (which is a Maryland and Pennsylvania tradition), dressing, olives, pickles, celery and lots of desserts. Are you ready now?

I am here too. We just got back last weekend from a B2B on Adventurer of the Seas our of San Juan, PR. Embarkation was horrible as was the turnaround day. It took 3 hours for them to take us off the ship and back on. What a waste of time. They did send us an apology and 2 bottles of wine, so that was nice.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Boy is this year going fast.

Marilee, Glad you enjoyed your cruises in spite of the trouble you had. I've always wanted to go on a B2B but wouldn't want to go thru what you did. Maybe it's the problem in San Juan as we had our worst ever disembarkation there and almost missed our 3PM flight. This was about 5 years ago & I've heard of alot of other problems with customs at that port.

I'm getting really excited as our Hawaii cruise is 4 weeks away.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Donna

Donna,

I definaitely think it is a San Juan thing, although our first B2B was 3 years ago out ot San Juan and it was smooth as could be. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. Also, you do have the option of getting off and doing what ever you want (tour, shopping, etc.) then coming back once they start boarding. They give you what is called an "in transit" card so you can by pass the lines to get back on the ship. You should try it sometime, the last night of the first cruise is so cool because you see all the suitcases in the hall and know yours doesn't have to go out yet.

Congratulations! Is this the one we saw the wedding pictures just a few years ago? The one with the interesting mother-in-law?
