Beef Soup sounds great! Think I'm gonna start the chopping (trinity) for some red beans and rice soon. That sounded pretty good to me with some cornbread. If we were close, we could trade a bowl of each.

I'm making my diet-friendly meals for the next week using my new 6-1/2 quart slow-cooker. So far I've made Hopping John (collards with roast pork, tomatoes, black-eyed peas, etc), Posole (a Mexican stew made with roast pork, pinto beans, hominy, tomatoes, etc.) and Piccadillo (made with ground sirloin, Mexican chorizo sausage, corn, tomatoes, olives. etc.) I usually kick everything up a couple of notches, though, with about two teaspoons of cayenne pepper and a couple of tablespoons of crushed red pepper flakes. Why? Because I still can!!!!

I remember one puzzle I used to like to do when I was a kid...it was the front page of the NY Times. That was a tough one!

I wish I could make some of your recipes...but alas, nobody in my house would eat them Drives me nuts trying to please the 4 picky eaters...seems there's always 1 person who doesn't like something That's why I love cruising...I don't need to worry about what anyone wants to eat...it's a real treat for me!
