Default Problems with AARP discount?

Has anyone with a CARP membership had problems getting the AARP discount?

I just got an email saying that they were going to re-price my cruise because I "was not on their database". At the time of booking I was assured that my CARP membership entitled me to the AARP discount.

Did you submit proof, like scanning your current carp/aarp card to NCL?

When i booked my cruise with an AARP discount, i had to scan a copy of my aarp card to promotionssupport@ncl.com.

Also note, on the ncl aarp page it says this:

AARP members must provide their date of birth and zip code at time of bookings. If this information is not immediately available, information must be provided no later than at time of deposit. Reservations that cannot be verified will be repriced and a new confirmation will be sent to guest.

We too just scanned and emailed a copy of our AARP card and it now shows discounted on our reservation.

Must wait for DH to get home to scan (new PC and can't get scan to work). Hopefully he can get it scanned.

Same as others, provided copy and invoice was priced back with discount immediately. Problem seemed to be name didn't match perfectly. 'Randy' on most things including AARP and Randolph on passport so what we register for cruise as.

They include CARP when you click on AARP at the bottom of the main NCL page, so they should.

Hope that's not a real issue. My DH has so many aliases, my life is a nightmare. And of course NCL is using a horrible first name DH has not used since the minute after he was born!! Tried to fix it once, but was told his Latitudes history would be totaled.

Default What is better: AARP or Latitudes discount?

When reading this I found myself asking the question: Is the AARP discount better than the Latitudes discount? Moreover, are they combinable? Thanks.

We booked an Oct. 2012 cruise yesterday. We received the Latitudes graduation tier and insider offer on board credits, but my TA said the AARP discount was 1/2 the value of the OBC and not combinable with the Latitudes credits.

Anyone know if that is correct that you can only use Latitudes or AARP and not both?

Default Aarp discount

Hi!
It's been my experience that it is an either or situation, ie.AARP % or Latitudes.I opt for the greater amount which the last 2 cruises has been the AARP %.Hope that helps.
