I've been watching prices and they just keep going up. I was hoping we could upgrade from AQ to a suite. Sigh, I guess it may not be meant to be.

haha, well I figure unless something changes it wont happen. Oh well I was going to splurge and surprise Pete but the suite prices just keep going up which doesn't give me much hope, but who knows. Maybe someone will really want 1610 and we will get the upgrade fairy, the TA does know its our honeymoon. I should just ask them if they would push for it.

some cabins went down $100 today but C1 went up $100 and S2 up $200

Glen, Larry and Jan, and Bob and I aren't rich enough to afford to pay for Concierge or S class. We can't even afford to pay for an AQ like SOME people we won't mention. Heck I can't even afford to pay attention.

Haha well it will be our honeymoon. Either way at least for our next 3 sailings we will be concierge or higher so we can get elite status. We only take the one cruise a year compared to the 4, 5, or 6+ like some unnamed people on this roll call.

haha. You know I find they cruise surprisingly little considering they not only live in FL but so close to both Port Everglades and the Port of Miami.

I was telling Pete the other day if we weren't getting married this year I would take all our extra money right now and buy a condo down there since you can pick them up ridiculously cheap in foreclosure and then we could just rent it out to all our cruising friends as a pre/post cruise stay. Then eventually we could just retire there.

Boy am I glad I only have 3 this year. Hate to hear what you would say if I had 4,5 or 6.....

I have never been in a AQ room let along a balcony - we only go low and center with ocean view... Would love to feel pampered with gifts, and snacks and a wonderful view. Hubby likes to be in the center for stability and on the first level. Oh well, I will drool over the ones that get what I would love to try ONCE!!

That's crazy Judy! I say you book a cruise as a gift and book your self at least a balcony. Honestly on Solstice I felt more movement when we were lower then when we were up on the AQ floor. Is it because he gets sea sick? If so I say that's what pills are for! Haha. I was on them for our whole cruise.

Yes - he is very much aware to movement of the ocean as well as myself....

It's OKay - lower gets to the ports at the same time the uppers do.. LOL so I don't mind - when he is ready he will take a balcony or better :O) I'm not really complaining.

JUDY trust me. I concierge, the "treats" are icky. And I've never ever seen nor used the concierge. I AQ I did like the iced teas they left, but the rest of it didn't impress me. Heated tile loungers? meh. Aroma therapy reeds? I can't smell anything, Bob has asthma so we asked them to remove them. I guess the shower was nice but I get in a shower to get in get out. So if you don't love BLU I don't get it. If you love BLU I definitely get it.

If I could get away (and leave BOB and my DOGGIES) more, I'd book inside and cruise more often. It's amazing how often the real frequent cruisers (50 to 100 days a year) book insides. Bob just can't afford it, and can't get the time off and boarding my dogs is EXPENSIVE and we miss each other. Then again I am sort of getting "cruise ennui" (I invented that term).

Personally we found Blu to be excellent! (I also think Sharon would like it now as they have made a lot of changes since she first tried it.) I also hated the teas, to me they don't taste like anything other than a hint of coffee because they put them in the same carafe as the coffee. However, I also think you can't beat that shower. I would buy one for my house if it wasn't so expensive. Sharon probably just has something better at her house!

I have come to prefer the balcony cabins for the 7+ day cruises. Concierge is good if you want the extra point and if you can get it at a good price point.
I enjoy sitting on the balcony at night with a drink and listen to the peacefulness of the sea.

We usually go with ocean view and low and I have grown to like it very much - like you Sharon - this is fine with me as long as I can cruise more often. I LIKE TO CRUISE. Now we are going Azamara in a few months but again low and ocean view. We are going for the ship.... and the great deal we got.
