Whoo Hooo!

I'm the FIRST one to post to our new home

Wow, this is even more special than nailing the 5,000th Post or getting a visit from the Upgrade Fairy on every cruise! (Well, maybe not THAT special...)

Guess I should make some coffee as you will all be visiting soon.

Since the other thread will remain open for one more week, I think we should continue to post there until we get to 5,000 and let Ernie be the last to post since he's the mayor.

Donna, after seeing you in action on our "famous" cruise, I can attest that you are definately NOT a chicken!

I didn't realize that my caption was going to be a permanent title for this thread. Probably not the most appropriate one for us to use.

How 'bout you start another thread and give it a suitable name for posterity? (and get the "chicken" monkey off your back at the same time)

Great idea, Donna - but Ernie's leaving for Costa Rica in two days, and the old thread will be taken down before he comes back.

Think we can come up with about 45 posts in the next 48 hours?

This will require TEAMWORK!

No, I like your title. After all your attempts at posting on the 1,000th, etc. post in our previous thread, you deserve to start a new one.

Hey John...did you see that our November 4th cruise on the EOS is a "members cruise"...just a few more perks!!

Hi Karen, I saw that too. This will be my first members cruise (another check mark on my bucket list)!

I was reading the roll call and see that the expected perks for D are sporatic logo item surprises which are left in your cabin as well as a free excursion.

Have you sailed members cruises before?

We have never sailed a member's cruise either. Did you get a GS? We got the last one...I was wondering why this cruise was booking up so fast..members cruise explains it. Do you have early or late seating..we are early seating. Can't wait!! But of course cruising the end of April first!

Hey, Karen & John,

We were on the November 2009 Explorer Members cruise and it was fun. Nothing really major, but they did have random small gifts on almost a daily basis. The accent is on small, but it was fun to get them. We were given a free excursion to St. Thomas on that trip also. I would jump on the chance for this one but the timing of it doesn't allow it. But I am sure you will have a great time, and the camaraderie and group spirit of a "member's cruise" will be a lot of fun.

thanks ernie for setting this new board up. enjoy your trip to costa rica. we were on that member cruise nov. 2009 and took the free tour in st. thomas and it rained all day. one of my cruising buddies just asked me if i wanted to go on the nov.4 member cruise. it is fairly sold out and the rates are very high on the remaining cabins. also, we are on the allure starting sept. 9 b/b and nov. 4 is really to soon to go again.

a lower cost cruise is nov. 24 for nine days out of bayonne. we are thinking about it, but it may be soon after our 3 week drive and cruise to florida.

We've got GS1274, the same one that you had on the Oct 27 EGEII cruise! We have early seating and looks like we'll be traveling with our same crowd again, so it should be a lot of fun. I think there will be six this time, but still not sure about the seventh..

Are you and Russ traveling by yourselves? If so, and our seventh doesn't make it, you would be more than welcome to join us at an an 8-top in the MDR .

Think it's too soon for us to start fighting for W-2 on Labadee?

We had W-3 and it was wonderful!!!

We are in GS 1548, other side of the ship..which we have never had a room on..but it was the last GS..I keep on checking to see of another GS towards the middle of the ship becomes available..I will switch. Russ & I are traveling alone this time, and would love to join you for dinner if it works out...last time we had a table of 10, so I know they can do that. So if the dinner works out we need to link our reservations together..

I think any of the cabanas over the water look to be great...although I like W-2 the best..I already put my reservation in for W-2 forthe April cruise

..Carlos promises me that he will make that happen, eventhough he won't be on the ship when we sail in April.

Think it's too soon to email Carlos to get W-3 for our Nov 4 cruise?

Being the nice guy that I am, I'll let you have first dibs on W-2!

However, I'm not sure if Carlos will be sailing much longer. He said that he might be giving up his RCI position and doing something else. I think he just had a baby, if I remember correctly, so he would not enjoy being away from home for such long periods of time.

Didn't know that they could do tables for 10. If you email me (j dot roman at comcast dot net) your reservation number, I'll ask our TA to link us and see if she can get all of us at a 10-top. In this way, we're sure to be together!
