Smile 2-2-12 Thursday Weigh-In ..Ground Hog Will Make An Appearance

Trying to write a poem as I speak
But I know that it's a big reach

Try just to make them rhyme
I have a silly old time

Trying to make you have a smile
Before you get on the scale and walk a mile

Seems like we always having a test
We always want the numbers to be the best

We know what we have to do everyday
Sometimes we are great in everyway

Other times we don't do as well
Then we have to write and tell

Hoping that coming in here every week to weigh
Will help us to eat right and have something good to say

Exercising will help all of us to tone
Can even do it talking on the phone

That important thing called water we need to drink
With all three..less food, exercise, water..WE will shrink

Groundhog sez 6 more weeks of winter - if this is winter, I'll take it!

197 today, still up 1lb from last week. Just waiting for some hard workouts to catch up - did 12 miles on the bike yesterday, but it was 5:00AM in the dark when I tried a new route - did NOT realize how steep it was. 1000 ft of climbing in 12 miles don't sound like much - till you do it!!! http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip/1501062 This is an app I use to track outdoor workouts that I care about.

Eating good, feeling good - doing good.

Congrats to tall the losers, way to go Jan. Thanks for the weekly poem Belle, nice to look forward to Thursdays now!

Hi all!

Belle ~ nice little ditty as usual! I still haven't taken your water advice tho'.

Jan ~ wtg!! You're back on track!

Well I'm so happy to report that today on the 5th anniversary of my retirement I have shed those extra 15 lbs & now am at the weight I was for the 20 years previous! According to my Wii I still have 30 lbs to lose but that's not going to happen!

shootr ~ I was telling my DS who's at her AZ place now about your 5 k in Tempe & asked her if she knows where that is. She told me it's down by the water where they took me last March. It's a beautiful place! I loved the little plaques on the wall of the bridge, the Art Gallery & blooming cactus nearby. SO many great places to see near Phoenix.

Have a nice day!

~ Jo ~

Good Morning,

Belle, great poem as usual. Always look forward to them.

Jan, congrats on the loss and Jo, fantastic. I wish I would get my rear in gear and lose like that. And Shootr, that's great on the exercise, keep it up.

I'm up 1 lb. Oh darn. I really need to get motivated as the number on the scale is just not good for me. However, I am still down 3 lbs. from my most in November.

I have 6 weeks before my next cruise, if I really work at it I could lose 5lbs. So here's to getting serious and posting a loss next week.

Good luck to everyone. Diana

Awesome Jo, stop rolling your eyes because you've gotten this far, might as well keep going...

That's the place, the Art Museum is so cool, heck the whole area is fun, always something going on most weekends. It where we started kayaking too. Tempe Beach Park was where we played little league 40 years ago, it sure has evolved.

Hang tough Diana, it's the intake that get's us - keep trying distractions to keep the eating under control and the 5 will be gone in no time.

Hi- Can I join you guys?
Just started a new diet. Need to have some accountability.
I cruise again in December and would really like to get a little skinnier before then. I would like to loose 30. Probably will not get there before then but I can try.

I forgot to post before leaving for work this morning which means I can post now.

This week I lost 4 pounds.

Looks like there are some good losses this week. All ready into the month of February. Superbowl coming up. I heard on the news this morning that the Superbowl is the second largest eating day of the year after Thanksgiving. Not sure if it is true or not, just know there will be those temptations out there. Keep your goals in mind. Happy weekend everyone!!!

Welcome --- the more the merrier!!! I too need the accountability of these threads.

Belle usually starts a new thread each Thursday, with a lovely poem! What is the new diet you have started? I just try to eat healthy and I find if I write down my meals than I seem to do much better. I just need to get back to exercising.

Again welcome!! Jan

Default Stayed the same....

Which is alright sort of.....
Knew I ate out to much.
Sometimes it's easier when
I spend the day with my mother.
I try to only eat half and
bring the rest home.

Jan..Great you had a loss this week

Shootr..With all your exercise you
should be "skin and bones"!

Jo..Congrats to getting to where
you were 20 years ago.

Diana..You'll get it off. I too need to
get my 'a$$ in gear"! Where are you
going on your cruise.

Rose..Good loss this week. Keep it up!

Sorry for the late check in.

I did weigh yesterday just did not have time to post.

I stayed the same this past week.

Hoping for a better week this week, however, it is the Superbowl.

I'm for NY. I know we have some NE fans on here as well. I'm a Saints fan so I have to pull for the NFC.

My main diet has been the "Get Your Butt Off the Couch and Keep Your hands Away from Your Mouth" plan. It has had limited success. Although I did not gain, I did not lose either.
I am now with Diet-To-Go where they send you food through the mail. Believe it or not the food is mostly pretty tasty. Way better than the couple of items I have tried from Nurtisystem. The only problem is that it is a little pricey so I can not stay on it for too long. I have already lost 1 pound in a week and a half so it's a good start.

Hi everyone!! I'd like to join your group if i could?? I was with another board for a couple of weeks but nobody checks in regularly--and as alot of you--i need accountability!! We are cruising in November and have a good 40 pounds to lose before then. Sounds like an easy thing--right? A pound a week until we leave. I've tried & tried and I start out well, but after a few weeks I fall back into my old habits.
I'll be checking in next week--if not before!! have a great week everyone!

It's the "kick" that gets you up to
eat just a bite of this and that...a
sip of this and that! Yea Right!
It becomes a plate of this and that...
and a big glass of this and that!!!

REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO WEIGH-IN ON

Sliced potato's with a touch of olive oil, garlic powder under the broiler...

Sliced chicken breast, also a touch of olive oil, italian bread crumbs, garlic powder, and pepper...crisped up under the broiler as well.

My Super Bowl snacks are only 500 calories total.

Yes, you can watch the Superbowl and graze...

Now where is the Budweiser Zero???
