Default OBC casino

So the actual payment mechnism is..

1. You have an OBC already applied to your sail & sign account.
2. You use your sail & sign card at the slots (no fee) or tales/poker (3% fee) to charge amounts to your ship account.
3. At the end of the cruise, the OBC plus is used up against the casino minus.

I don't think they will let you extract OBC as cash from your onboard account to use in the casino.

Or is it something else?

You can also use your S&S card to upload money in the slots. For example $50 and play $5 ..cash out and you have cash

Thanx Allmykids

Yes that is a good way to avoid the 3% fee at the tables. Charge to your S&S at the slot machine, cash out your credits to your casino account on the S&S card and then go to the cashier to cash out the credits on your casino account.

I do not know why they still insist on charging 3% at the tables. I guess if someone doen't want to give up their seat then they have to do it that way (or send DW or DH to get more cash) LOL

On every cruise I have taken I have gotten cash from the casino cage on my S&S card. Don't never remember being charges a fee for this. Haven't cruised Carnival in years but will be going in September. Should I not use the casino cage?

Do not use the casino cage... there is a 3% fee added on.. What you want to do is go to a machine and get money from there... Hit the button one or two times then put the money back onto your card... THEN go to the casino cage... only to cash out your card... no fee involved !!!

I was wondering the same thing, since we have more OBC then we really need.
So tell me if I got this right, I can:
go to the slot machine, insert S&S card, upload $100 from my OBC to play. Play 4 quarters. Then go to the the casino desk (cage) and cash out the remainder from my slots account and get $99 cash. No fees of any kind.

I can then do this the next day if I want?

Thanks for all the tips.

Tweety33,

Yes you can, but if you do it every day you are likely to have more than $99 at least one or more of those days; you can't loose every time!

Technically there is refundable and non-refundable OBC. There might be an issue with amounts drawn from S&S for the casiso if your total cruise spend did not exceed the total amount of your OBC.

Wouldn't know for sure cause we always spend way more than the OBC!
