Hello all. We booked this cruise (with Johna) a few days ago. We're from Northeast Ohio. This will be only our second cruise on Carnival, but it will be our fourth cruise to Hawaii. Two of the previous three were with Celebrity and the other was on Princess. We enjoy the rhythm of this cruise -- lots of sea days to relax, followed by beautiful islands where everyone follows (or is supposed to follow) U.S. traffic laws. Nice, late stays at Maui and Oahu on this cruise too. We may dine out on one of those nights --fresh fish on Hawaii is a very special experience, especially for those of us not right on the coast.

Our previous Carnival cruise was on Pride out of Baltimore, so we know the Spirit-class. We enjoyed that week and have been looking for the right opportunity to cruise Carnival again. Looks like we found it!

We are not frequent posters. We will definitely keep an eye on this Roll Call though, and will check in if we have something of value to add.

Looking forward to meeting everyone in less than 18 months!

Ok, back at home, the safari was fun, but it was HOT out so the animals were all resting alot
(first HOT day we have, I don't think they knew what to do)
Addison (1 year old) was awake for the first 1/2 of the drive through,
as Jaxson (2 yr old) slept, and then she feel asleep and he woke up.
So they both got to see the big animals, just not the same ones
and both got to play in the children's area, and see the cool stuff there.
It was a nice drive, 3 hours down, 1 hour driving thru it and 3 hours back.
Good thing we stopped to eat just before getting there,
and then played in the Children's area,
or we would have been in the car way to long with little ones...

Ok, so the best part was an Emu or Rea was on the side of the road,
Dawn and Jaxson were just looking at it, and sure enough it started for the window
Dawn was all in a panic to get Jaxson away from the window and the window rolled up...
not as scary as it was funny hearing Dawn saying,
oh no, ooooh no, oooh no....as she is trying to find the window button

your heat of last week, came over here, and our windy stormy stuff went you way...

Montana also had a wonderful day yesterday and with luck today it will be nicer, I got my garden roto-tilled, asparagus, corn and buckwheat planted. Today going to try and get all my raised beds made and plant potatoes, onions, spinach and radishes. What does this have to do with Cruising, it saves me money on food during the summer which I stash away for the ships.

Going to need extra for this Cruise, Hawaii has some good excursions, but a bit more spendy then other foreign ports.

Good morning all.

Speaking of weather...we got someone`s cool stuff.

After weeks of warm (hot really) we have now cooled down for the last several days to the mid 60`s and the wind blows night and day...

Not sure what is happening here, but by Wednesday we are to be back in the high 80`s..

I will wait!! Love the warm...

Marie glad a good time was had by all on your family advanture yesterday..

DGD`s shower was a fun afternoon for us. A huge crowd (groom has a large family) was there. Ashley got oddles of nice gifts.. She has a lot of thank you notes to write for sure.

Since today starts a new week for me without work, guess it`s time for me to start the work that I let slide in my house while I was doing taxes.. Got to get THINGS done...

as I know Addison is going to wake up soon,
and be hungry, then off to watch Payton receive Student of the month
This month is Honesty, Yes this makes his Grammy Happy
Although any months theme is a good month,
they don't give them out for being a bad kid
I woke up achy all over, I don't think riding in the van suited me yesterday.
Maybe need to get out and stretch some muscles if the sun comes out again today, I will
